| In 1970, Interacid was founded specializing
in the trade of raw materials for the fertilizer and chemical
industries.
In 1989, Interacid formed Sulphuric
Acid Trading Company, Inc. (SATCO) located in Tampa,
Florida. SATCO currently operates an 80,000mt capacity
storage terminal for distribution of imported as well
as regional acid.
In 1994, Interacid formed Interacid
Trading S.A. (ITC), a trading company located
in Santiago, and Interacid Chile
Ltda. (ICL), a tank terminal operation company.
ICL currently operates two storage terminals for
regional and imported acid at Mejillones and Punta
Patache, both in Northern Chile, with
a total capacity of 100,000mt.
In 1996, Interacid formed Interacid
Australia Pty Ltd. (IAPL), a trading company located
in Melbourne for local balance transactions as well
as for import and export of sulphuric acid.
To complement its activities in sulphuric acid trading,
Interacid commenced sulphur marketing activities in
1994 on a worldwide basis.
